How this list was checked
Edition: NERDC revised curriculum offering 2025/26, effective 2025-09-01. Names follow the NERDC curriculum offering and the Federal Ministry of Education announcement of September 2025, which the Ministry says takes effect in the 2025/26 session with a phased rollout. Read the NERDC offering.
Phased rollout from the 2025/26 session. Senior secondary students take 8 to 9 subjects. Nigerian languages are Hausa, Igbo and Yoruba. Non-technical schools offer six trade subjects; technical colleges follow NABTEB's trade list.
Only subjects in that offering are shown as official. A school may teach other subjects; those appear for that school only. If your school follows a different arrangement, check with your state ministry.
